MAWRID Automation Centre was established circa 1984 and is officially registered with the Libyan Engineering Union as Consultant Engineers in the fields of Information Technology & Automation .

MAWRID provides Services, Consultations, Training and Software Development in the fields of PCs & Information Technology.
 

Our main activities include:

• Design & Development of Database Applications

• Provision of Technical Assistance & Support for IT

• Development & Implementation of Intranet Portals & Internet Websites

Design & Development of Database Applications: 

Using tools such as Borland Delphi, SQL Client /Server databases, in this respect we've supplied more than 60 Database Applications covering various fields such as Payroll Systems, Accounting Ledger Systems, Personnel Management Systems, Sales & Purchase Systems, to various customers in the field of industry and services, including Libyan Arab Foreign Bank, World-wide Islamic Call Society, General Milk & Diary Products, Tripoli Council, Industrial Research Centre , General Textile Company of Libya and covered the following:

• Payroll System Windows Client/Server - 18 installations.

• General Ledger - Windows Version, over 8 installations.

• Personnel Database System Developed in FoxPro over 9 installations.

• Purchasing Management System - 2 installations.

• "MANHAL" - SQL Database Reporting & Summarisation Application - over 12 installations.

• And various other applications

Development & Implementation of Intranet Portals & Internet Websites 

With the aid of the latest technologies, we successfully implemented various Intranet portals and developed Internet websites.

Consulting & Services in the Field of Information Technology and Automation:

• Database Applications Development using OOPS & C/S tools such as Delphi, VB.

• Effective usage of standard PC Applications with an experience of more than 16 years.

• Installation, Configuration and Setup of PC Software & Networking (Windows NT,..etc)

• Web design and Implementation of various technologies such as HTML, ISAPI, etc..

• Engineering Application of PCs

• Desktop Publishing Systems

Computer Training:

We carried out various courses in Information Technology & PC applications for many prestigious clients in Libya including Libyan Arab Foreign Bank, Agip Oil Company, Oasis Oil Company, Libyan National Oil Corporation, General Electric Company of Libya, General People's Committee, General Milk & Diary Products Co., and many other establishments. Course material was prepared in both Arabic and English languages, and covered the following:

• 60 or more Introductory PC Courses ( Using PCs, DOS & Windows)

• 30 courses in Spreadsheet Applications ( Microsoft Excel , Lotus 123 , Quattro Pro)

• 18 Courses in Databases Applications ( dBase, FoxPro)

• 6 Courses covering Programming & Applications Development (Delphi, Visual Basic,)

• 20 Courses in using AutoCAD, and Advanced AutoCAD

Other Software Development Activities: Beside the development of Database Applications mentioned above, other software packages were developed and distributed free including:

• "CONPAK - A Control Systems Design & Simulation Package

• Windows Based Card Game - "SHKOBBA"

• Windows Telephone Directory System

• Windows Family Tree management & printing utility

• Development of various Arabic printer driver programs.

• Development of various OOP components including a Delphi Reporting Component

• "Glypher" - a tool for selecting images for controls used in application user-interface..

Our cofounders-members carry M.Sc. Degrees from major universities
( London, Imperial College & City University UK)
with more than 20 years experience in the
field of IT (Information Technology) and Automation.

We engaged in setting up many training courses covering various fields of PC (Personal Computer) Applications, and we have developed and installed many Database Applications to local customers.
